We are deeply saddened by the passing of the wonderful Terry Denton.
SLR had the great privilege of adapting Terry’s brilliant GASP! books into a 52 x 11 minute animated series. We loved working with him and bringing his wonderfully funny, laugh out loud world to the screen.
GASP! was made with so much love and passion by an incredibly talented team, alongside our broadcast partners ABC, Nine and Canal+, and went on to become the number one children’s show on Canal+ in France when it premiered.
But what we remember most is Terry himself. His extraordinary imagination, humour, kindness, generosity and talent, and the joy he brought to generations of children through his work.
These photos are from our GASP! wrap party with Terry, his wife Kristen and our wonderful team. A very happy night and such a lovely memory to have today.
Terry’s brilliance will not be forgotten, and we feel incredibly fortunate that SLR got to play a small part in bringing one of his creations to life.
Our thoughts are with Kristen and Terry’s family.

Straight off the back of #ACCS26, the SLR Productions & Guess How Much I Love You team headed to Google HQ in Sydney for the first #YouTubeKidsLaunchpad at YouTube joining many familiar faces from our ACCS community for a full day focused on #YouTubeKids.
For #SLRProductions, YouTube has become an important part of how we keep our existing IP living, growing & finding new generations of children.
Our GUESS HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU YouTube channel is a great example. A series we first produced more than a decade ago has now reached more than 60 million views on YouTube, continuing to find children & families around the world.
